15/07/07- Lintel in place.  Polished slate mantle piece and grouting to go... (Thanks to Peaky, Dom, ‘Bloke’ (AKA Mike) and Ewan for their help with this 300kg lump and you can’t even tell that one side is higher than the other!)

07/12/06 -The stove working ...

07/12/06 -The Anki chimney blocks (top side) gued in place leaving enough gap around for the single skin of brick to form the chimney stack.  The pot and bricks we will be using were re-claimed from the original bungalow.

07/12/06 -The hole for the chimney stack cut through the roof exposing the top of the Anki system previously installed - just in time for the wetest day or two this year.

07/12/06 -Winching the stove up (the chimney) to get the plinth under it ...

09/11/06 -Fireplace herring-boning....

11/10/06 - The anchor supporting the top of the chimney - bolted through to the concrete gable wall.

10/10/06 - The ‘glue’sausage between the Anki chimney blocks.

09/10/06 - Fireplace and chimney going in...

29/08/08 -  Wall footings rebared and ready for concrete.  Looking North.  This will have a brick and concrete block retianing wall on it.  Further up it changes to brick and brick, non-retaining...
