09/03/07- With the money in the bank, the caravan departs for pastures new...

27/02/07 - 1200hrs The caravan finally down onto the hardstanding without any major dramas.

Thanks again to Ade and his winch-equipped Land Rover.

27/02/07 - A short movie of winching the van around.

The  front got too close to the fence beside the road last night and the Land Rover did not have  enough steering lock to bring it round quickly enough so that the front of the caravan would not hit the fence.

So, having chocked the nearside caravan wheel, tied a long rope to the chassis near the caravan axle and tied it  to a tree on the back boundary (25m away) and banged a scaffold pole into the ground level with the front of the caravan hitch, we disconnected the Land Rover and winched the front of the van round with it pivoting on the chocked wheel. 

Eventually, it was parallel with the front fence ready to re-connect the Land Rover and descend the ramp down to the hard standing at the front of the house....

26/02/07 - As far as we got by night-fall.  Too dangerous to continue....

26/02/07 - Ade helping to get the caravan out as we have a buyer at last (who has even paid a deposit).  It’s off to a good home  - another self-builder  ...

29/08/08 -  Wall footings rebared and ready for concrete.  Looking North.  This will have a brick and concrete block retianing wall on it.  Further up it changes to brick and brick, non-retaining...
